Attend the OPENVERSE Summit in a European Virtual World Platform

Join the virtual edition of the OPENVERSE Summit: Open and Co-Created Virtual Worlds for Europe, the final event of the Horizon Europe OPENVERSE project. Click here to register for the in-person event instead.

The OPENVERSE Summit will bring together European policymakers, researchers, technology providers, civil society representatives and other members of the European virtual worlds ecosystem to discuss the development of open, interoperable and human-centric virtual worlds.

Alongside the physical event in Brussels, XR4Europe is producing and hosting a parallel virtual event in collaboration with partners from across the European virtual worlds ecosystem. This will allow participants from anywhere in Europe and beyond to attend remotely, engage with the Summit programme and connect with other participants in an immersive environment.

The virtual event will be hosted on ENGAGE, a European virtual worlds platform. This format facilitates enhanced geographic accessibility to the Summit while demonstrating how European virtual worlds technologies can facilitate participation, collaboration and cross-border events.

Participation is free, but registration is required.

Accessing the virtual event

Registered participants will receive instructions and an event access code shortly before the Summit.

To participate, you will need to: * Create a free ENGAGE account. * Download the ENGAGE application on a compatible device. * Log in and use the access information provided by XR4Europe.

ENGAGE can be accessed using compatible VR headsets, Windows PC, Mac, and supported mobile devices. A VR headset is not required.

We recommend creating your account and installing the application before the day of the event. There will be an onboarding event a few days before it to provide opportunity to test and receive support from XR4Europe's team.
